Digital Engobing
Nowadays everyone is familiar with digital printing. Digital engobing has a lot in common with digital printing – and yet the two are different.
Engobes are high-quality surfaces that are applied to clay panels before the firing process. The Digital Engobing journey commences with a digital image, where a specialized unit artfully deposits the design onto an engobed clay panel. Through the firing process, the applied image seamlessly merges with the engobe and the panel, forming an inseparable and visually stunning unity.
The "ink" used in this process comprises purely mineral inorganic pigments. A masterful mix of these pigments ensures precise realization of the desired effects, akin to a high-performance printer. The result is a dazzling array of colors, vivid and picture-perfect.
One distinctive advantage lies in the application of mineral pigments and the firing of all components together.
