Imperium Notus

Imperium Notus is a matt, slightly rough and unsanded brick with both texture and a natural muted softness. 
 
Deliberate imperfection in the brick allows earthen tones of browns and grey to show through creating wonderful varience, colour and texture to shine.  
 
Imperium bricks share many aesthetic characteristics with Roman building traditions. The brown basic bricks are finished with a calcareous layer as a tribute to the Roman tradition of covering their walls with cement often referred to as the 'bagged' look. The resulting rustical appearance is unique and proving to be very popular in New Zealand.
