Welcome to our new-look newsletter where we focus on one of our exciting products used on a stunning NZ Christchurch home – we know you will love it as much as we do!

Imperium bricks manufactured in the Peruwelz kiln in Belgium, are our Feature Focus this week. This beautiful brick shares many aesthetic characteristics with Roman building traditions. The specialness of the basic brown brick (once kiln-fired) is that it is finished with an interesting and unpredictable calcareous layer as a tribute to the Roman tradition of covering their walls with cement often referred to as the ‘bagged’ look. The resulting ‘rustical’ appearance is absolutely stand-out and proving to be very popular in NZ!
If you are planning your project for next year – while we have all met the many challenges this year has brought, please do let us know in good time to order your product. Demand is high for Wienerberger bricks in NZ now. Booking early will avoid disappointment – we will love to hear from you!

Flavius Peruwelz Brick Project NZ
This Christchurch project on Idris Rd is a real tribute to the owner’s vision, architect Alessandro Quadrelli and builder, Craig Feutz. The mortar was very carefully chosen to match the brick perfectly. Wienerberger always send extra bags of matching mortar to ‘touch up’ the bricks if some of the deliberate ‘chipping’ appears too often for personal preference…otherwise, the rustical, lime/cement washed look adds to its charm and personality.
Here’s what Craig had to say…
“We have recently completed a job using the Flavius Brick and have to say the overall look is truly amazing. We’ve had numerous positive compliments about the bricks as it is on one of Christchurch’s busiest intersections. Your company has been a pleasure to work with, the service we received from everyone at Stellaria was exceptional. We will be placing additional orders in future and without hesitation, recommend your company to others.” Craig Feutz, 2020.
